What To Know Two new Lego games have been added to Fortnite’s already 4-game “metaverse” of games. |
Someone might make a useful metaverse before anyone else, and it might be Fortnite. As part of its new family-friendly Lego Islands series of games, the company announced two new Lego Fortnite games on Tuesday.
You and up to three other players will try to stay on top of a small river raft in a world based on Lego Pirates. This game brings new survival strategies to the forefront. The Barracuda ship’s gunfire will be coming at you, and you’ll have to help your friends and build new rafts on the spot.
Another survival game is Lego Obby Fun. In this one, you have to avoid falling off of a path that has moving hills, platforms to jump on, and other set pieces. Are you going fast? It’s not clear, but this one looks like fun if you like platform games where your base is Lego bits. There are more than 300 levels to play through, and each one has a different Lego theme.
Both of the new features were made with Epic’s own Unreal Engine and can be found in Fortnite right now. That’s not all, though.
In a blog post, Fortnite says, “Keep an eye out for new LEGO islands, and as always, stay tuned for more updates to Lego Fortnite!”
